In implementation of the second theme of the new registration plan emanating from the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategy 2010-2013, the Emirates Identity Authority will activate the service of linking ID card registration with residence issuance and renewal procedures in Ajman from next Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
In a press release, Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Maamari, Director of Public Relations and Marketing, Emirates Identity Authority, said the gradual expansion of the activation of the service of linking registration in ID card with residence issuance and renewal procedures will start its 5th stage of operation in Ajman.
The Ajman ID Registration Center will start registering residents in ID card after completing their preventive medicine procedures until work in the ID building annexed to Ajman Preventive Medicine Center has been completed, he added.
Al Maamari clarified that the registration receipt sealed by the ID seal, which proves that registration in ID card was completed, will be a main part of the documents required to be provided by all the residents in Ajman as soon as the procedures for obtaining or renewing residence start at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Ajman.
As for the procedures for obtaining ID card for the residents whose residences will be issued or renewed in Ajman, Al Maamari clarified that as a first step, those residents should go to an authorized typing office in Ajman, which will prepare the ID registration form and collect the due fees against a receipt.
Al Maamari pointed out that customers will then go to the Preventive Medicine Center in Ajman for medical examination before heading directly to the Emirates Identity Authority’s Ajman Registration Center.
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Identity Authority has started activating the linkage of the ID card registration with the residence issuance or renewal procedures through the registration centers annexed or close to preventive medicine centers in Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid and the Western Region.
