The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), represented by the General Directorate of Customs and Port Security, received a delegation from the Embassy of the Italian Republic to the UAE at ICP’s premises in Dubai on Wednesday, 9 September 2026. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral customs cooperation.
The delegation was received by H.E. Ahmed Abdullah bin Lahej Al Falasi, Acting Director General of Customs and Port Security, in the presence of a number of ICP officials. The Italian delegation was headed by H.E. Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the UAE.
The meeting explored ways to enhance customs cooperation and coordination between the two sides to support and facilitate trade flows. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of matters of mutual interest and discussed agreements currently under development between the two countries.
