Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security: Field visits to ensure the smooth flow of movement at the ports during Eid Al Fitr

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security has started implementing the periodic plan of leadership supervision at land border ports and work centers during public holidays and official holidays. The goal is to enhance the Authority’s strategic objectives aimed at achieving customer happiness by stepping up service leadership and raising efficiency and readiness twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
This comes in the context of the efforts and institutional facilities that support the system of providing electronic and smart services and following up on the activities of the Authority and its administrative operations in the various centers, airports, land borders and sea ports to document the flexibility of procedures related to the movement of passengers and facilitate various customs operations to ensure smooth movement and the sustainability of the security and safety of society.
Several managers from the Authority inspected the workflow of the customer happiness centers and border crossings in the various emirates of the UAE to check on the flow of the operations and services provided to support the smooth flow of passengers, vehicles and goods transported by land, in addition to meeting the customers, passengers and staff of the Authority working during the Eid holiday to wish them a blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
In this regard, H.E. Major General Saeed Salem Balhas Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, and H.E. Muhammad Al Kuwaiti, Acting Director General of the General Department of Ports Security in the Authority, visited Mazyad and Khatm Al Shukla ports, in addition to Al Madheef and Al Hili ports in Al Ain region, to check on the preparations and plans for receiving large numbers of people coming to the country through these ports to celebrate the Eid and to ensure a smooth flow of work and speedy completion of the procedures. Their Excellencies also congratulated the employees of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, employees of the strategic partners working at the ports and a group of visitors on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, stressing the importance of providing ways to support smooth procedures, and enhancing professional and supervisory care to achieve a balance between maintaining the pillars of the security system and the happiness of customers.
Furthermore, His Excellency Major General Sultan Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras Al Khaimah, congratulated the employees of the Authority working at Ras Al-Dara land border port, stressing the need to harness all the capabilities that support the flow of movement through the port and shared with the visitors their joy of Eid Al-Fitr by offering them souvenirs. He also explored the progress of operations at the port, in presence of managers from the customs sector in the Authority, praising the joint cooperation between all sectors of the Authority in supporting the flow of movement as an extension of the close cooperation and integrative processes aimed at expanding the circle of harmony in performance as part of the procedures adopted by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security.
On a related level, and in an initiative that reflects the depth of the historical and brotherly relations between the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, a delegation from the Authority’s employees and operational entities at Al Ghuwaifat land border port in Abu Dhabi visited the Saudi Batha land border port to congratulate the port’s employees on the blessed Eid al-Fitr. Also, a delegation from the Authority’s employees and operational entities at several land border ports in the UAE congratulated their counterparts at the ports of the Sultanate of Oman on this occasion.
On the other hand, several managers from the Authority belonging to sectors of identity, passports, residency and foreigners’ affairs visited various customer happiness centers to find out about the level of service provision to customers during the Eid holiday and to learn about the operational activities related to the electronic and smart services system in order to push the achievement towards leadership levels and put it within the framework of performance indicators set to reach the strategic goals in light of plans to raise efficiency and readiness around the clock throughout the year.
