The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), represented by the General Directorate of Customs, organised a creative and recreational workshop for employees’ children in Dubai on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, as part of its initiatives marking the Year of the Family 2026. The workshop aimed to nurture children’s creativity and enhance their ability to innovate and express themselves in an interactive environment combining learning and fun.
H.E. Ahmed Abdullah bin Lahej Al Falasi, Acting Director General of Customs, met with the participating children and took commemorative photographs with them, in the presence of several officials and employees from the Directorate.
The workshop also introduced the children to their parents’ workplace, providing an overview of the Directorate, its responsibilities and key functions. Through a range of artistic and recreational activities, the workshop sought to develop the children’s creative and innovative skills, strengthen family bonds and give them an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into their parents’ working environment. The initiative also aimed to foster a stronger connection between children and their parents’ workplace while promoting a healthy work-life balance, in line with the principles of the Year of the Family 2026.
