The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) participated in the Al Ameen Forum in Dubai, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, on Thursday, 22 October 2026. The forum was held under the theme “The Family: The First Line of Defence in Community Security”.
H.E. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of ICP, attended the forum, accompanied by several ICP officials.
The forum explored ways to establish a preventive approach to security built on family and community awareness and the integration of their roles with government institutions. Discussions also addressed family security scenarios for 2050 and the future of the family amid rapid advances in artificial intelligence and digital technologies. These discussions compared two potential futures: one characterised by early preparedness and policies supporting digital security, and another in which families face these transformations without adequate legislative, technological or values-based readiness.
The Al Ameen Forum serves as a platform bringing together decision-makers, security and military organisations, educational, social and technology institutions, researchers, experts, parents and young people. It provides an opportunity to discuss future challenges affecting family cohesion from security, developmental and educational perspectives, while exploring policies and initiatives that can strengthen the family’s role in nurturing individuals and safeguarding society.
