The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security participated in the “Breaking the Fast” initiative in various regions of the UAE over a period of several days throughout the holy month of Ramadan, in cooperation with Emirates Red Crescent Authority and several local institutions, most notably Abu Dhabi Police and Dubai Police. This came as part of the Authority’s efforts to promote responsibility and community participation, extend a helping hand to the needy families and those who abstain from asking for help, and support social cohesion.
More than 150 employees from the Authority took part in the initiative, and it consisted in providing snacks at many intersections and traffic lights in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah to enable fasting people to break their fast, and to promote the values of human brotherhood, coexistence, community participation, cohesion and human giving.
The teams of participants from the Authority in the initiative were distributed under the supervision of the Government Communication Department in many areas such as Abu Dhabi City, Khalifa City, Mohammed bin Zayed City, Mussafah and Bani Yas, while the employees of Al Nahda Customer Happiness Center in Dubai distributed Iftar meals in the area surrounding the center, in addition to areas of the Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum Mosque, Al Qusais Cemetery Mosque, and Al Mizhar.
The Residence and Foreigners Affairs Department in Al Ain also participated in the initiative by distributing snacks at the traffic lights intersection in Al Maqam area in Al Ain. While the employees of the Customer Happiness Center in Ras Al Khaimah distributed meals in many locations in Ras Al Khaimah
