The 121st ministerial meeting preparatory for the 32nd GCC Supreme Council summit, scheduled for December, discussed the use of the smart identity card as a form of identification for GCC citizens. The meeting, which was presided over by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was held in Riyadh yesterday.
During the meeting, Their Highnesses and Excellencies GCC Foreign Ministers discussed the reports, recommendations and draft resolutions submitted by the ministerial committees for the Ministerial Council’s preparatory session as regards the GCC joint action. These included the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, drafts for unified rules for listing on the GCC financial markets, streamlining media work and implementing the Supreme Council’s education-related resolutions.
