The Fujairah Registration Center has participated in the activities organized by the Social Services Department in Kalbaa to mark the International Day of Older People. The move came as part of the solidarity of the Center’s family with old people and in recognition of the position of this significant social section of the society.
Fujairah Registration Center’s participation in the event, which coincides on October 1st every year and continued for one week, was embodied in accompanying old people in entertaining journeys to the people’s markets in the area and distributing gifts on old people as well as booklets and compact disks containing tips and guidelines on how to deal with the category of old people.
At the end of the event, the center’s family offered a shield of recognition to the Social Services Department for its ongoing co-operation with the center since it was opened. The move is aimed at bolstering the social partnership among the federal and local organizations and corporations, particularly that the Social Services Department greatly contributed in 2008 to registering old people and clinically disabled individuals through all its branches in the region.
