The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai organized an initiative called “Delight of a fasting person” by setting up a Ramadan tent to break the fast for the fasting people belonging to the category of domestic workers with a quantity of 300 meals per day throughout the holy month of Ramadan, reaching a total of 9,000 meals per month. This initiative took place as part of the Authority’s keenness to consolidate the concepts of goodness and giving. It aims to revive the values of solidarity and compassion among all segments of society, as embodied in the holy month of Ramadan.
His Excellency Lieutenant-General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, said that the Directorate is proactive in launching initiatives aimed at consolidating the meanings of solidarity and compassion in Ramadan’s spiritual atmosphere that embodies the noble Islamic values, heritage and authentic traditions of United Arab Emirates’ society.
