His Excellency Ali Muhammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, expressed his deepest thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, May God protect him, for his honouring of the Authority for its ranking as the best federal entity in the UAE in supporting gender balance within the UAE Gender Balance Index at the federal level.
His Excellency stressed – in a statement on this occasion – that Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation “Mother of the Nation”, is the true inspirer and main supporter of the Emirati women’s journey, as she laid the basic foundations of their blessed journey in the country and remained supportive of the Emirati woman and guided and sponsored all institutions in order to achieve this ambitious program.
His Excellency praised the efforts of the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance, and the local and international initiatives of Her Highness over the past years to achieve the goals of the Council, foremost of which is reducing the gender gap throughout all the state’s sectors and enhancing the UAE’s global competitiveness. His Excellency pointed out that the UAE Gender Balance Index is one of the country’s priorities as a basic pillar for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in which men and women contribute.
At the end of his statement, His Excellency affirmed the commitment of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security towards the visionary leadership of the UAE and the Emirati society in upgrading the Authority’s working system and mechanisms in order to achieve the goals and agenda of the federal government.
