His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al-Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai said: “Martyr’s Day is an occasion to express loyalty and appreciation to our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their country, and an occasion to honour their memory, so that their heroism and sacrifices remain a model for future generations, and a beacon that guides our generation and future ones, and an incentive that pushes us towards making more efforts and to work harder to improve our present and build our future, and an embodiment of the human heritage that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, instilled and established as principles and values that are still the basic and solid foundation on which his successors rely.”
His Excellency added: “The visionary leadership and the Emirati people will not forget their fellow citizens who sacrificed their lives in order to prevent dangers that threaten their country and threatened to tamper with its achievements and gains, stressing that the nation’s martyrs remain in the memory of the Emirati people, and are source of their pride.
