The ID World Abu Dhabi 2011 will kick off at the Yas Hotel today, Sunday, April 3, 2011.
The two-day summit is held under the patronage of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority.
A large number of researchers and specialists from around 40 countries of the world are participating in the activities of this summit. They will discuss several issues including introduction to radio frequency, vital statistics, smart cards and data collection.
The activities of this summit include three global forums on ID; namely, Citizen ID Forum, Transportation Security Forum and Asset Tracking Forum.
It is worthwhile that the Emirates Identity Authority and Wise Media, specializing in organizing digital identity conferences and exhibitions, are organizing this summit in co-operation with the European Commissariat.
