Director General Reviews Upgraded Version of Smart Inspection Vehicle

H.E. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), reviewed the latest updates to the Smart Inspection Vehicle on Thursday, 13 August 2026, as part of ICP’s preparations to begin pilot field testing of the upgraded vehicle. The review took place in the presence of H.E. Major General Saeed Salem Balhas Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, and relevant ICP officials.

The vehicle represents an innovative approach to field inspection, incorporating AI-powered real-time monitoring and visual analytics systems. The latest upgrades include advanced AI solutions and technologies designed to support inspection and monitoring operations, enhance field efficiency, reduce reliance on human resources, promote a culture of compliance among residents and foreign nationals, and help prevent violations.

H.E. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili emphasised the importance of continuing to develop smart solutions and harness advanced technologies to support monitoring and inspection operations. He noted that these technologies contribute to faster and more accurate detection of violations, enhance procedural efficiency, and support ICP’s efforts to keep pace with technological advancements, in line with the UAE leadership’s vision of building a smart and proactive government ecosystem driven primarily by artificial intelligence.
