The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, represented by the General Directorate of Customs and Port Security, organised a joint workshop in cooperation with the National Anti-Narcotics Agency entitled “The Latest Methods of Smuggling Narcotic Drugs.” The workshop was attended by more than 30 inspectors from the General Directorate of Ports, along with a number of department directors and officials from the National Anti-Narcotics Agency and the General Directorate of Customs and Port Security.
Held at the Authority’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, 23 July 2026, the workshop aimed to familiarise inspectors with the latest methods and patterns employed in narcotic drug smuggling operations, strengthen cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the field of counter-narcotics, and contribute to enhancing inspectors’ capabilities, improving the efficiency of inspection operations at the ports of entry, and reinforcing the security and safety of the community.
