The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship honored its female employees and customers who visited its customer happiness centers today all over the country. They were warmly welcomed and token gifts were presented to them, celebrating Mother’s Day.
H.E. Ali Mohammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of ICA’s Board of Directors extended his warmest greetings and blessing to HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union Supreme and Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation “the Mother of the Nation”, on the role she is exerting to promote the mother’s position in the State. He further expressed his appreciation of her keenness to provide all kinds of facilities to the working mothers, to enable them to perform their working and familial duties.
Al Shamsi then paid tribute to all ICA’s mother employees, expressing his deep appreciation for them and for their role in achieving ICA’s excellence. He valued their giving, which helps ICA to achieve its progress and goals, alongside with their colleagues. “All my greetings and respect to every mother, who cares for her children, while holding the torch of knowledge, work, and giving. To every mother who assumes the responsibility of a house and a family. Through you, I extend my greetings to all mothers in UAE who have always been up to the responsibility, partners in raising generations and effectively contributing to building the State”, Al Shamsi added.
In the light of this occasion, ICA honored a number of the mother employees from different departments and organizational units all over the State, together with a number of mother customers. ICA emphasized that this honoring is to celebrate mothers, being dutiful to them, crystalizing the definition of motherhood in Islam, and deepening the highest meanings of beneficence in dealing with them, as they are the symbol for life continuity and the pillar of a stable family.
General Directorate of Identity organized, for this occasion, a lecture titled “Mother’s Role in Work and Family”, given by Dr. Majda Al Azazi. She stressed that the working women need to balance their work and homes, to maintain family stability and provide a better environment for children.
She further added that the Emirati mother is effectively contributing to building the nation and achieving its progress and prosperity, placing it in a prominent position among the world countries. They are keen on instilling the love and loyalty to this kind of land into the hearts of their children and teaching them to exert every effort for safeguarding and promoting it. She further stressed that being loyal and benevolent to mothers should not be limited to this day, but it is a continuous duty.
