“ICA” Intensifies Efforts to Facilitate Entry Procedure for “Formula 1” Guests

Brigadier Al Rashidi: Support teams around the clock to ensure smooth entry procedures for guests

Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship confirmed its keenness to participate actively in supporting the Etihad Airways Grand Prix, the final race of the Formula 1 World Championship 2018, which begins Friday at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

ICA announced the intensification of its efforts and alerting all its concerned cadres, especially at the country’s airports and border ports, to provide the best services to the guests participating in the event from the teams and fans and to receive them in a way that suits the reputation of UAE and embodies its traditions of good hospitality and facilitate the procedures of issuing visas to them and their entry into and departure from the State after the end of the event with ease.

HE Saeed Rakan Al Rashedi, Acting Director-General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, said that ICA has increased the level of readiness at all airports and border ports and formed a number of support teams that operate around the clock in order to ensure smooth procedures for the arrival and reception of guests and the completion of transactions immediately and to overcome any obstacles may face them, in a way that reflects the bright face and development achieved by the state and reflects the fact that it is the home of happiness and the land of dreams.

He added that ICA is looking at its role in supporting this event as a national duty and a great task that requires it to harness all the potentials to contribute to its success to be added to the UAE’s record of achievements. He stressed that the working teams in the field are harnessing all efforts and capabilities to make the guests participating in the race happy, provide the services that meet their aspirations, and exceed their expectations.

Al Rashedi pointed out that the success of the race, which is being followed by millions of people around the world, contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of UAE as a leading destination in tourism of various forms and organizing sporting events according to the best international standards, especially in the provision of hotel services and entertainment and the recreational, sporting and artistic activities hosted by UAE throughout the year.

He said that ICA is striving continuously to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of UAE in various fields through active participation in developing the country’s security and economy, and is keen to support all initiatives that enhance the reputation of UAE and its attractiveness to investors and tourists who seek destinations that provide them with facilities and services that satisfy their needs and aspirations.

Al Rashedi pointed out that the ICA’s Board of Directors directed to provide distinguished services to the participants in Etihad Airways Grand Prix, making their visit to the UAE an unprecedented experience for each of them, especially In terms of welcoming them with a smile and welcome, excellence and quality of services, and ease of procedures and smoothness, the matter which reflects the cultural face of the state and express the genuineness of its people and its openness to different peoples and cultures.
