Emirates ID Higher Management Committee has praised the remarkable response and interest showed by citizens in registering for the ID and population register, which resulted in a 200% increase in the registration rate during last March.
On Wednesday morning, during the regular meeting at Emirates ID headquarters headed by H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, the Higher Management Committee called upon all citizens who have not registered yet to engage quickly in the registration process and benefit from the deadline set for the end of the registration expiring on June 30, 2011.
The Committee paid attention to a presentation delivered by Mrs. Samia Al Shiekh, Acting Director of Planning, about the performance indications for the first quarter of this year 2011, as well as a summary of workshop the Authority participated in on the economic vision for Abu Dhabi 2030.
Mrs. Samia explained, during the presentation, the vision themes and the main priorities, and the role of Emirates ID in achieving the purposes of this vision for its effective role through Population Register Database represents a significant source for the decision makers regarding the social development field.
The Committee asserted its keenness to provide the necessary support to achieve the vision’s economic purposes for Abu Dhabi in line with the public purposes of the electronic connection project carried out by the Authority with other main parties in the country.
On the other hand, the Authority’s Higher Management Committee agreed on re-arranging appointments for clients who did not attend at their previous dates in addition to offering another chance through specifying a deadline to complete registration in ID.
