Sergeant Amer Saeed Al-Jabri, an employee in Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, won the security invention contest at the Prince Nayef Prize for Arab Security for inventing a device for reading and checking passports and travel documents.
The device reads the documents in seven different readings, reading the built-in electronic ship in the document, through the infrared rays, UV, normal colors, and readable areas contained in the document and comparing them to the original reference.
It is indicated that Prince Nayef Prize for Arab Security aims at supporting the leading and excelled inventions that provide a new contribution to the security achievements, encourage Arab talents, enhance innovation, contribute to the development of security sciences and tools that bring safety to the community, As well as to raise the spirit of competition between individuals and institutions, and sharpen their scientific and creative abilities.
