The Emirates Identity Authority has discussed a number of topics related to the implementation of its new strategic plan 2010-2013 and the progress of work in the relevant projects including the progress achieved in each as per the approved timelines.
The Emirates Identity Authority also discussed the human and institutional components and resources concerned with implementing its new strategy, managing the strategy and dealing with the existing challenges and phased updates.
This was announced during the regular meeting held by the Emirates Identity Authority in its headquarters in Abu Dhabi end of last week to review its strategic plan and objectives. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, and was attended by the executive directors and the managers at the Strategy Backup Office.
The meeting reviewed some conceptions related to the delivery of ID cards to their owners and the approval of convenient solutions to this effect with the Emirates Identity Authority affirming its intention to shortly announce the provision of a package of procedures that would speed up the delivery of cards to their owners within a few days after being printed.
During the meeting, the performance reports prepared by the Strategic Backup Office as regards the strategic and operating objectives and the executive plans of the projects were reviewed.
Meanwhile, the Emirates Identity Authority reiterated its confirmation that it would not spare any effort to achieve the major strategic objectives in its new plan 2010-2013 as embodied in upgrading its services provided to customers beyond their expectations and general satisfaction.
The meeting stressed the importance of the role of the Strategic Backup Office in supporting and tracking the performance of the Emirates Identity Authority’s departments and centers. It also stressed the importance of keeping pace with the change in both the internal and external environments, calling for providing a flexible and dynamic environment to support strategic change and strategic management.
Praising the efforts of the different departments and working teams at the Emirates Identity Authority, Al Khouri called for supporting the spirit of innovation and encouraging, motivating, training and developing these teams so that this objective would become among the priorities of all the Emirates Identity Authority’s departments and one of the basics for continuous improvement aimed at keeping pace with the change in both the internal and external environments.
