A joint workshop was held with a delegation from the National Statistics Center in the Emirates Identity Authority to discuss the mechanism of providing a statistical program for all organizations responsible for statistics in the UAE.
The workshop marks the beginning of the first stage of the Emirates Identity Authority’s efforts in this framework and will see co-ordination with the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategic partners from the different statistical entities and centers across the UAE that depend on demographic data.
H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, had previously instructed that maximum use should be made of the smart statistics system, which was used inside the Emirates Identity Authority in the first stage, enabling the Emirates Identity Authority to assume its role in supporting decision-making in the UAE, particularly with the expansion of the population segment registered in the Emirates Identity Authority’s population register.
It is worthwhile that as part of its strategy 2010-2013, the Emirates Identity Authority seeks to provide precise statistics for the concerned entities in the UAE in implementation of the most important theme of its strategy as embodied in maintaining a precise and comprehensive population register.
