The 6th Quality Conference in the Middle East 2012 kicked off in Dubai yesterday. The conference is organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University and held under the sponsorship and with the participation of the Emirates Identity Authority.
The Emirates Identity Authority’s sponsorship of the 3-day conference, which is held at the university headquarters in Dubai Academic City, comes as part of its keenness on exchanging global experiences in the field of quality in consolidation of its efforts aimed at upgrading its services. The sponsorship is also aimed at encouraging scientific research, enhancing the creativity and innovation culture and seeking an integrated knowledge-based environment in the Arab world.
The conference is held on the sidelines of the Annual Congress 2012, which kicked off under the theme of Innovation Based Competitiveness in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Supreme President of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University for supporting scientific research and exchange of knowledge. The Congress saw the participation of a number of researchers, experts and specialists in quality, e-Learning, health and environment.
The first day sessions discussed the concepts of quality and its importance for creating and improving competitiveness among countries and drafting national strategies on improving productivity and rendering the economies of countries more capable to compete worldwide.
