Emirates ID honors Nawf Al Hammadi for winning the Best Debater Award in the Arab World

The Emirates ID honored student Nawf Al Hammadi in appreciation of winning the best debator award in the Arab World in the international tournament for high school debates in Arabic.

The Emirates ID said that honoring student Nawf Al Hammadi came as part of the Emirates ID’s ongoing keenness to enhance the national identity and in response to its commitment to social responsibility and support to young national talents by encouraging creativity and innovation, instilling the spirit of national pride and affiliation and giving back to this generous nation.

The Emirates ID gave student Nawf an appreciation certificate and a reward for representing the UAE in the tournament held in the Qatari capital, Doha, several days ago. She was an honorable representative for the UAE.

The Emirates ID granted student Nawf Al Hammadi “Emirates ID Ambassador” title for 2012. It gave her the opportunity to co-operate with the Emirates ID to introduce its mission, vision and objectives at various local events. It also provided her with the opportunity to join the government communication team at the Emirates ID as an intern over summer vacation to develop her skills in the field of communication and media.

Nawf thanked the Emirates ID staff for their appreciation, initiative and great hospitality.

Nawf was honored at Sharjah Registration Center in presence of Miss Khawala Al Tayer, HR Director at the Emirates ID, Laila Mohamed Al Qusair, Principal of Wasit Model High School, and Nawf’s mother.

A student group consisting of five students including Nawf representing the UAE through the Ministry of Education took part in the tournament. Nawf won the first place. The tournament had participants from 20 Arab countries in addition to Malaysia. The group received intensive training before joining the tournament that witnessed various competitive skills and innovations from students. The UAE group was able to win two rounds of the debate which revolved around topics relating to revoking the Security Council “power of veto”, plastic surgeries and children treatment.
