As part of its endeavor to develop the aptitudes of its employees and crystallize their scientific and practical skills, the Emirates Identity Authority has discussed means of enhancing academic, training and research co-operation relations with the University of Sharjah.

During the meeting held between H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General and Dr. Salah Taher Al Haj, Vice Chancellor of University of Sharjah for Community Affairs, the Emirates Identity Authority discussed the possibility of holding a training program for its employees in line with its concept of continuous education and learning.

The two sides agreed to sign a joint co-operation agreement including a general framework for organizing a number of specialist academic programs related to the Emirates Identity Authority’s work. They also agreed that the Emirates Identity Authority assign a number of its employees to complete their education in the University of Sharjah against special fees. A number of joint scientific researches and studies were also agreed to be implemented, particularly in the field of human resources.

Welcoming the enhancement of co-operation relations with the University of Sharjah, Al Khouri called the Human Resources Department at the Emirates Identity Authority to list the employees interested in completing their university education and provide them with scholarships according to specific controls and criteria to be approved by the Emirates Identity Authority.

He also called for establishing an administrative unit at the Emirates Identity Authority which will be tasked with following up the student employees to ensure continuous education at the Emirates Identity Authority. The unit will also make a 5-year plan that will encourage the employees not to be satisfied with high school education and to seek university education.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Khawala Al Tayer, Director of Human Resources at the Emirates Identity Authority.
