UAE President issues federal decree restructuring Emirates ID Board of Directors

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, has issued a federal decree restructuring the board of directors of the Emirates Identity Authority.

Article 1 of the decree stipulates that the board of directors of the Emirates Identity Authority be restructured under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser. The board members will include:

• His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan,Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior (Deputy Chairman).
• H.E. SaqrGhobash,Minister of Labour.
• H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Al Humairi,Secretary General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
• H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi,Director General of the Ministry of Economy.
• H.E. Major General Eng. EissaSaif Al Mazrouei of the General Command of UAE Armed Forces.
• H.E. Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
• H.E. AwadhHadhirBin Amer Al Muhairi of the Dubai Police General Headquarters
• H.E. Dr. Saeed Abdullah Al Ghafli of the State Security Authority.

Article 1 also stipulates that the membership of the board members will of three years renewable, while Article 2 stipulates that this decree will take effect from the date of issuance and will be published in the official gazette.
