Sharjah Media Corporation (SMC) has honored the Emirates Identity Authority as one of its strategic partners in an event held by SMC two days ago on the 23rd anniversary of broadcasting Sharjah TV in 1989. The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, SMC Chairman.
Sheikh Sultan, accompanied by Dr. Khaled Al Midfa, Sharjah Radio and TV Director, honored the official sponsors participating in the event held at Corniche Al Buhaira Hotel. Mr. Ismail Fadlallah, Director for Dubai and North Emirates Centers, received the shield of appreciation on behalf of H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said in the speech he gave during the event that, “The emirate of Sharjah headed by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, is always grateful to those who work in silence and with dedication. We are here today to tell you that your great efforts in adding another milestone in this structure are much appreciated by us and by society, which is the target of your noble efforts.”
In his speech, Dr. Khaled Al Midfa praised the effective role carried out by the honorees in media development in Sharjah, in particular constructive media that enriches the hearts and minds. He underlined the adoption of both an intellectual and creative approach within the limits of responsible freedom and while abiding by ethics of constructive media.
The honoring event was attended by Abdul Razaq Rasheed, Director of Sharjah Registration Center, and Omar Al Maamari, Supervisor of Dubai and North Emirates Centers.
