In continuation of its development efforts for upgrading performance, the Emirates Identity Authority has started to implement a job rotation plan for the directors and supervisors of its affiliated registration centers.

The first phase of the job rotation plan started with the directors of registration centers in Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah, Mrs. Khawala ATayer, HR Director, Emirates Identity Authority, said, noting that the job rotation process for the supervisors of registration centers would start shortly according to a definite schedule.

She explained that this administrative procedure approved by the Higher Management Committee at the Emirates Identity Authority is part of a number of steps and procedures that the Emirates Identity Authority is taking for mere development reasons in line with work requirements.

Administrative studies show that employees who fill administrative and supervisory posts in service sectors that deal with the public and customers offer their best expertise over a certain period of time set by psychologists at 4 years, she said.

Al Tayer pointed out that job rotation contributes to upgrading performance, developing human resources, pumping new bloods into the work environment and allow an opportunity for the employees at registration centers to deal with new directors and supervisors and consequently gain more job experiences from them.

Rotating administrative jobs at the Emirates Identity Authority is generally aimed at allowing an opportunity for new administrative leaderships as well as young generations to assume their management roles for more productivity, she said, adding that job rotation is also aimed at fighting stagnation and boredom that might affect the employees who deal with the same manager for a long time.
