Identity, Citizenship Authority Wins Four Dubai Quality Awards for 2026

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) won four awards at the Dubai Quality Group Awards 2026, reaffirming the Authority’s success and its employees’ commitment to achieving leadership and excellence across various areas of work, while delivering a proactive service experience that meets customer expectations and fulfils the requirements of local, regional and global competitiveness indicators.

The announcement came during the annual Dubai Quality Group Awards 2026 ceremony, held on Thursday, 11 June 2026, under the patronage and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group. The ceremony honoured 146 winners from the UAE and GCC countries representing government and private-sector institutions across eight award categories.

The awards attracted participation from institutions across the Gulf region, with notable representation from entities in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman in categories dedicated to innovation, continuous improvement, and institutional ideas. This reflects the expanding scope of regional competition in adopting best practices in management, governance, and innovation. The awards covered a range of fields, including artificial intelligence, medical excellence, sustainability, women’s empowerment, and continuous improvement, at a time when Gulf institutions are racing to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen their competitiveness through technology and innovation.

With regard to the Authority’s awards, Sheikha Mohammed Khalfan Al Shuraiqi Al Muhairzi, an employee of the Authority, won the Dubai Quality Award 2026 – Entrepreneur Category under the Emirates Women Award, in recognition of her inspiring journey in establishing and developing her entrepreneurial venture and for exemplifying leadership, innovation, determination and social responsibility.

The Authority also won the Financial Sector Category Award at the Dubai Quality Awards 2026 for its Tourism Guarantees System project, which transformed financial guarantee procedures from a complex traditional model into a smart digital system that supports financial flexibility and accelerates government services.

In addition, the Authority received the Smart Services Category Award at the Dubai Quality Awards 2026 for its Smart Travel project, which has introduced a transformative enhancement to the traveller experience through seamless biometric verification, faster transit procedures and strengthened border security and operational efficiency.

The Authority also won the Best Joint Idea Category Award at the Dubai Quality Awards 2026 for its UAE Work Bundle project, which redesigned the process for issuing and managing work residency permits through a unified digital platform, embodying a leading model of government integration and innovation in service delivery.
