“Identity and Citizenship” welcomes groups of pilgrims after they completed the Hajj pilgrimage

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security started receiving groups of pilgrims who performed the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1443 AH and who came to the country through the Ghuwaifat border port. They were hosted in the “Pilgrims’ Oasis”, which was prepared to reflect the Authority’s objectives aimed at achieving customer happiness by raising the efficiency and readiness of the ports. The “pilgrims’ oasis” was equipped with all the necessities to complete the procedures easily and in a comfortable atmosphere that would help them complete their journey before returning to their last destinations.
Mr. Khalifa Hamad Al Shamsi, Director of the Land Ports Department at the General Administration of Ports Security, confirmed that the procedures in place at the Ghuwaifat port facilitate the transit movement of passengers and goods through a package of distinguished services, noting that coordination meetings were held with the strategic partners at the port to organize the transit movement of pilgrims and raise operational capacity of the port in a way that ensures the smooth flow of movement and speeds up clearance of customs and passports procedures.
