The Emirates Identity and Citizenship Academy celebrated the graduation of the first batch of leadership and advanced leadership courses, in which a group of ICA’s officers participated in and formed the first-fruits of the courses, which are organized by the Academy for ICA’s employees to develop their knowledge and raise their performance to higher professional and academic levels.
Major General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at the Authority delivered a speech at the graduation ceremony, expressing his thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership of the State for their caring and attention to everything that would promote the country and enhance its march towards progress and prosperity.
He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to HE Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and members of the Board for their support and keenness to provide the necessary means to achieve the vision, mission, and objectives of the Authority in the best possible way.
He stressed that the two courses constitute the academic, cognitive, and professional basis upon which the leader builds his professional career and depends on it in making his decisions at the administrative and operational levels. He praised the excellent training and academic atmosphere provided by the academy to the two courses’ members and the keenness of their associate officers to achieve their goals with excellence and efficiency, to qualify them to be future efficient leaders.
Colonel Mohammed Saeed Al Ameri, Director of the Academy, confirmed the keenness to provide the best academic and training atmosphere for all members of its academic and training programs, to contribute to the building of qualified Emirati person equipped with science and knowledge, which he can, by depending on them, innovate and excel in performing his work to form, at the end, a qualitative addition in every place where he carries out a small or big task, and a supporter to his colleagues, superiors and subordinates.
He said that the Academy relies on an integrated system based on rich curricula and training, strict academic content, periodic evaluation of the contents of all of such system, a distinguished academic staff in the fields of teaching, training and scientific research, and advanced learning resources including the library and the means of information technology, a strictly accurate test system. The Academy is using such system to provide an output that amounts to the aspiration and meets the needs of the Authority at the time being and the other national institutions in the near future of qualified and trained cadres in the fields of nationality, identity, residency, and other fields that serve the State and contribute to its advancement and prosperity.
At the end of the ceremony, Major General Al Rashidi honored the top-ranking officers in the two courses and handed over the certificates to the graduate officers.
