The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship organized an awareness lecture for its employees on diabetes, in collaboration with the Imperial College London Health Center (CLHC). The aim of this lecture is to raise awareness regarding the importance of keeping healthy and the ways to prevent and control diseases.
The lecture, which was delivered by specialists from CLHC, introduced the participants to diabetes, its symptoms, complications, and ways to prevent it. It also explained how to obtain the greatest amount of dietary benefit of the daily-consumed calories and how to calculate calories.
The lecture, which was held in Al Shohada Hall in the main building of the General Directorate of Identity in Abu Dhabi, discussed the importance of making blood glucose testing and making early checkups. It also emphasized the importance for everyone to maintain a healthy lifestyle and have healthy foods to avoid diabetes infection.
At the end of the lecture, all employees had medical tests, including blood glucose level measurement. Medical tips on the importance of maintaining health and prevention of diseases were also provided.
