Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) organizes a workshop for its staff titled “Legal Aspects of ICA’s Work” in order to enhance their knowledge in this field, raise their awareness of the basic elements and legal aspects that regulate the role of each employee and guide them on how to apply them in reality.
The workshop; attended by H.E. Dr. Saeed Abdullah bin Mutlaq Al Ghafli, ICA’s Director General and a number of directors of departments, offices and heads of sections, included an overview of the law and its branches, its importance in the organization of society, determination of rights and duties of individuals, differences between legislations and laws and learning them about the administrative decisions and its pillars.
The workshop; organized also by ICA’s Legal Advisor Office, includes a presentation containing the legislations that regulate ICA’s work since its establishment, the developments and amendments made thereto, in addition to presenting a short film about the legal consultation, its importance and stages.
The workshop, presented by both the Legal Advisor/ Mohammed Abdullah Al Qadi and Legal Researcher/ Futtaim Al-Kindi, discussed examples of crimes relating to the public service such as embezzlement and damages caused to the public funds, strikes, disruption of work progress, and examples of crimes that violate honor and honesty. The attendees also reviewed the legal principles that govern the public utilities and the importance of complying with them to permanently provide services to the beneficiaries without interruption or suspension.
At the end of workshop, Al-Qadi answered the questions and inquiries of attendees and gave them many tips and advices that ensure the safety of performance and help the employee to avoid falling in the legal gaps and administrative errors.
