The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation discussed today the arrangements for organizing daily joint inspection campaigns to prosecute the violators of Law on the Entry and Residency of Foreigners in the UAE and take legal actions against them.
These discussions took place during the coordination meeting, which was held between ICA and MOHRE at ICA’s Headquarters in Abu Dhabi, and chaired by Lt. Col. Fahd Ghazai Al Otaibi, Director of the Department of Deportation and Repatriation of Foreigners and Violators in ICA. Parties discussed how to limit violations and means of cooperation between them to monitor the fugitive laborers.
They also handled the means of raising awareness on the importance of compliance with the laws regulating entry and residence of foreign nationals, and other laws regulating the labor market. They also noted the risks related to recruiting and accommodating violators, as this may disrupt the security of the society and prejudice the public rights.
