Mohamed Ahmed Saqr, Head of Collection Department at the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) declared to Al Ittihad that the electronic linking of GPSSA to the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA), preventive medicine centers and courts will be complete by the end of 2012. This move will update data automatically without the need for the retiree to go through this process. He indicated that the data of the retirees will be automatically updated in April 2012.
In February, GPSSA called upon all retirees and those receiving pension on their behalf to provide the authority with a copy of the ID card. This step shall assist GPSSA in its pursue to provide optimum services, achieve customer satisfaction and strategic goals and assert its recognition of the vital role of the ID card in conducting transactions and procedures with customers.
