The Middle East Excellence Awards Institute has announced that its slogan for the closing day of the 17th GCC eGovernment and eServices Conference and the honoring ceremony of the 16th Middle East eGovernment and eServices Excellence Awards will be “ID and Modern Information Culture”.
According to a press release issued by the institute, the selection of this slogan came in appreciation of the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategy, initiatives and distinguished role in spreading the culture of developing and updating the information content among individuals and nationals as part of the Emirates Identity Authority’s civilized drive towards information technology.
The press release referred to the Emirates Identity Authority’s success in translating its mode of thinking and vision and applying the digital knowledge philosophy by pushing intensively towards updating the ID data and adapting positively to the information and communication technology culture, which nowadays affects the orientation of politics, economy and centers of decision-making and influence across the world.
Meanwhile, H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, emphasized that the selection of the “ID and Modern Information Culture” as a main slogan for the 17th GCC eGovernment and eServices Conference and the honoring ceremony for the 16th Middle East eGovernment and eServices Excellence Awards is an honor to the mode of thinking that the Emirates Identity Authority adopts and seeks to apply.
He explained that the Emirates Identity Authority is an efficient player and a strategic partner for all government entities in charge of eGovernments in the UAE, which work together for upgrading eGovernment and eServices and keeping pace with global competitiveness with the aim of keeping abreast of the developments of the digital world “we live in” and contributing to building a robust IT community and a knowledge-based economy.
Marking the occasion, a major ceremony will be held at the Al Falak Hall, Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai on Wednesday, May 25. During the ceremony, which will be attended by a number of decision-makers and members of the diplomatic corps and executive leaderships, a speech will be delivered about the ID and Modern Information Culture, the slogan of the closing day of the conference.
Al Khouri, who is the guest of honor of the closing day, will also honor the winners of the 16th Middle East eGovernment and eServices Excellence Awards, whose slogan will also be “ID and Modern Information Culture”.
