AL KHALEEJ – The Emirates Identity Authority has selected the Musaffah Registration Center 2, located near the Preventive Medicine Center in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, for applicants to complete their registration procedures in ID card and population register after they have completed their medical examination at the Preventive Medicine Center in Musaffah and obtained the registration receipt sealed by the Emirates Identity Authority, on the basis of which they will receive the medical examination result to be able to complete their residence issuance or renewal procedures.

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, clarified that the center features 45 registration lines through which approximately 2500 people per day are registered. The center will receive only male applicants in one morning shift in line with the official working hours of Preventive Medicine Center in Musaffah, he added.

The Emirates Identity Authority devised a mechanism to avoid any crowds that might be seen at the center, Al Khouri said, noting that in case of crowds, applicants would be instructed to move instantly to building no. (1) for smooth transactions. The past period saw human cadres were appointed for work at the new center and trained in registration system to ensure that work was progressing efficiently and accurate data of applicants were obtained, he added.

The Emirates Identity Authority co-ordinated with Abu Dhabi Health Authority so that a registration center would be opened in the Preventive Medicine Center in Abu Dhabi City to enable applicants to complete their registration procedures immediately after their medical examinations at the management building, thereby contributing to facilitating registration in ID card, he said.

He pointed out that linkage with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs would be made directly at a later stage after all the emirate’s centers would be fully linked with preventive medicine departments in the Western Region, provided that linkage in Al Ain City would be made in the last quarter of this year.

Following linkage with preventive medicine centers, the registration steps that are currently taken include filling out the e-form at an authorized typing office, visiting the preventive medicine center for medical examination and then visiting the Musaffah Registration Center (2) for fingerprinting and photographing, Al Khouri said.

It is noteworthy that the Emirates Identity Authority started activating the theme of linking registration in ID card with residence issuance or renewal procedures through the registration centers annexed or adjacent to the preventive medicine centers in Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Dibba Al Hisn and the Western Region in Abu Dhabi.
