A temporary delay might possibly take place in the delivery of ID cards to the individuals who completed their registration procedures in November and December due to the shift of ID card printing operations center from the old location in Abu Dhabi to the Icad area, Executive Director of Population Register at the Emirates Identity Authority said.
Mohamed Al Mazrouei, CEO of Population Register at the Emirates Identity Authority, said these belated cards are expected to be delivered within few weeks due to the increasing and rapid rise in ID card registration rates across the UAE, and the fact that the number of new and renewed ID cards printed daily exceeded around 40,000 cards.
