H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, has won the 19th Al Owais Award for Studies and Scientific Innovation for engineering and technology for his research titled: “Conversion into eGovernment”.
The winners for the different themes of the award were honored during a ceremony held two days ago at the Cultural & Scientific Association in Dubai.
The ceremony recalled the exploits of the award founder the late Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais, who devoted the award to honor determined people and researchers in the cultural and scientific fields.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mohammed Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council, and H.E. Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, who affirmed that the keenness of the UAE leadership on honoring innovators helped consolidate the society’s awareness of the importance of supporting distinguished works, particularly the cultural ones.
The ceremony was also attended by Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Cultural & Scientific Association, as well as an elite group of officials and intellectuals from the different cultural foundations and the parents of the winners.
