“Dubai Residency” participates in the 10th edition of “Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament”

Female employees of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai are participating in the 10th edition of the “Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament”, which is organized by the Dubai Sports Council under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, and is held from the 7th to the 21st of November.
Fifty female employees from Dubai Residency, compete against their female colleagues from governmental, semi-governmental and private institutions, in all ten sports approved in the tournament, which are bowling, running, cycling, padel tennis, crossfit, squash, badminton, table tennis, chess, and electronic games. It is worthwhile to mention that all the competitions are held in the evening, taking into account work conditions.
His Excellency Lieutenant-General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, stressed the continuous support for the efforts of the Women and Sports Committee of the Dubai Sports Council through the permanent and distinguished participation of the “Dubai Residency” women’s team over the past nine years of the “Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament”, in which the Dubai residency employees have achieved successive successes and impressive results, expressing his hope that they will excel as usual in the 10th edition.
His Excellency pointed out the administration’s keenness on the participation of female employees in the competition, which shines year after year with its wonderful programs and initiatives, pointing to the extent of the impact of sports and activities on morale, which is clearly reflected in the giving of female employees and getting away from the daily routine towards more spacious and wide horizons.
Al-Marri called on all the management’s female employees to consider sports as a lifestyle, by engaging in any kind of their favorite sport and seizing time for this matter related to their health, appreciating at the same time the many tasks entrusted to women.
His Excellency concluded by affirming his great confidence in the management’s female employees and their ability to achieve their goals and successes and return crowned with victory, gold medals and trophies.
