The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security held a meeting of its Directors General and Executive Directors on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, at the Emirates Identity and Citizenship Academy in Abu Dhabi. The meeting, chaired by His Excellency Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Authority, reviewed the Authority’s Unified Artificial Intelligence Plan across the various workstreams of the AI Project, as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation and adopt smart solutions throughout its work environment.
His Excellency Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili commended the project teams for their efforts in achieving the project’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of integrated collaboration in fulfilling the Authority’s strategic goals in alignment with the wise leadership’s vision for continuous development and modernization.
His Excellency noted that the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies contributes to enhancing the government operating ecosystem by improving operational efficiency, elevating service quality, and ensuring service sustainability. He added that these efforts support the Government’s vision of building a more innovative and pioneering future while advancing the UAE’s long-term strategic aspirations.
The meeting was attended by H.E Major General Suhail Juma Mohammed Kaltham Al Khaili, Acting Director General of Citizenship; H.E Major General Saeed Salem Balkhas Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of Identity and Foreigners Affairs; Mohammed Ahmed Al Kuwaiti, Acting Director General of Ports; Brigadier Ahmed Mayouf Al Ameri, Acting Director General of Support Services; as well as H.E Brigadier Omar Mohammed Sultan Al Owais, Acting Executive Director of the Maritime Ports Affairs Sector; Brigadier Tariq Mohammed Salem Bin Rabiah, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Resources and Administrative Affairs Sector; Alya Mohammed Al Marmoom, Acting Executive Director of the Customs Affairs Sector; Juma Abdullah Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Digital Transformation Sector; Nasser Ahmed Al Abdouli, Acting Executive Director of the Corporate Support Sector; Ahmed Abdullah Suleiman Al Khaili, Acting Executive Director of the Security Inspection Sector; Brigadier Abdulrahman Al Zaabi, Director of the Emirates Identity and Citizenship Academy; together with a number of officers and officials from the Authority.
Following the meeting, H.E Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili and the accompanying delegation conducted an inspection tour of the Academy’s educational facilities to review operational activities and encourage employees and trainees to continue striving for excellence, leadership, and the pursuit of knowledge that contributes to strengthening the United Arab Emirates’ competitiveness and global standing in the fields of identity, citizenship, residency, and tourism.
