Director Generals Review Progress of AI Assistant Project

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) held a meeting of its Director Generals and Executive Directors on Thursday, 16 July 2026, at the Authority’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, chaired by H.E. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of ICP. The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the implementation of the AI Assistant Project, assessed progress achieved to date, and discussed the project’s future roadmap.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Major General Suhail Juma Mohammed Kaltham Al Khaili, Acting Director General of Citizenship; H.E. Major General Saeed Salem Balhas Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of Identity and Foreigners Affairs; Ahmed Abdullah bin Lahej Al Falasi, Acting Director General of Customs and Ports Security; Brigadier Ahmed Mayouf Al Ameri, Acting Director General of Support Services; Brigadier Tariq Mohammed bin Rabia, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Resources and Administrative Affairs Sector; Juma Abdullah Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Digital Transformation Sector; Nasser Ahmed Al Abdouli, Acting Executive Director of the Institutional Support Sector; Brigadier Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Khuraim Al Zaabi, Director of the Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship; together with a number of senior officers and officials from ICP.

During the meeting, H.E. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili emphasised the importance of maintaining a unified team spirit and accelerating the implementation of strategic projects. He commended the efforts of ICP’s teams in advancing its strategic objectives, reflecting the UAE leadership’s vision of fostering a culture of innovation and harnessing artificial intelligence to enhance the government ecosystem.

H.E. noted that the AI Assistant Project represents a significant step towards improving operational efficiency, enhancing service quality, and enabling faster, data-driven decision-making, in line with the UAE’s future aspirations and its leadership in adopting smart technologies.
