The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has signed a cooperation agreement with the General Civil Aviation Authority of UAE, as part of its endeavors to expand the scope of fruitful partnerships and enhance prospects for cooperation with official authorities and public sector companies in order to contribute to building plans and developing planning and excellence governmental programs.
The agreement was signed, from the first party, by His Excellency Lieutenant-General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and from the second party it was signed by His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority, in the presence of several managers and officers.
The agreement provides for joint cooperation between the two parties in several areas, which contribute to raising the level of efficiency and knowledge, and benefiting from the experiences and institutional capabilities of both parties. The agreement also provides for contributing to enhancing the institutional culture in line with government directions and enhancing competitiveness through the dissemination of knowledge and practices of excellence, research and cooperation in the field of joint initiatives.
His Excellency Lieutenant-General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, said that this cooperation will contribute to the development of the work environment through the exchange of expertise and experiences, and the dedication of the language of innovation and a culture of excellence, stressing that Dubai Residency is one of the departments that are interested in expanding the base of strategic partners with the aim of transferring its distinguished experience, and gaining more experience with other authorities and institutions, to achieve the goals of sustainability in providing the highest standards of services and best international practices to all citizens, visitors and residents of the United Arab Emirates, in line with national strategies and projects.
His Excellency added that the Emirate of Dubai has been a leader and a pioneer in the aviation sector today, and this comes from the insightful vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, whose visions have become a roadmap for the next fifty years of achievements. He stressed that the Emirate of Dubai has managed to consolidate its position in the global aviation industry through its commitment to providing and developing the services it provides to passengers, in addition to being one of the most attractive destinations for people wishing to live a distinguished travel experience.
His Excellency Lieutenant-General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri expressed his happiness at signing the agreement with the Civil Aviation Authority, pointing out the importance of this kind of cooperation, which plays a crucial role in sustainable development.
For his part, His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority, said, “We are pleased to conclude this partnership with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai to explore new horizons that contribute to achieving rational government directions to advance the wheel of leadership and innovation and foresee the future by investing in capabilities and competencies. This agreement was signed as part of the Authority’s aspirations to unify efforts to advance the process of institutional excellence, work in accordance with the best government practices, and exchange experiences to advance government performance and reach the highest levels.
His Excellency Al Suwaidi added that the excellence system has become inherent in the culture and work approach of all sectors in the UAE, especially the civil aviation sector, which is pioneering at the regional and international levels.
