Stresses “ICA” keenness on developing all its Customer Happiness Centers

The advanced specification in Al Ghuwaifat Toll Gate increasing its capacity and easing traffic across it

His Excellency Brigadier General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Acting Director-General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports in ICA, emphasized ICA’s commitment to develop all its Customers Happiness Centers and its border checkpoints throughout the State, promote them to meet the best global standards, and provide quality and distinctive services in line with “UAE Vision 2021”.

He added that the border checkpoints constitute one of the State’s fronts and the first point where the impression and the mental image of the State’s visitors are formed. Accordingly, the highest levels of attention and care shall be given to these checkpoints and to the services provided therein. Besides, the best and recent technologies should be applied thereto facilitate things for those who arrive and depart across these borders and for the smooth and prompt completion of their procedures.

Al Rashidi made these statements during his tour at Al Ghuwaifat Toll Gate linking UAE to KSA. During this tour, he checked the work progress in the border’s new facilities, which are being implemented in accordance with advanced specifications to increase the border’s capacity and facilitate the traffic of travelers between the two countries, develop transportation services and travelers and rehabilitate the routes of cars and trucks across the border. In addition, he met the border staff and heard their opinions and observations on the various aspects of their work. He also talked with a number of the border crossers and heard their opinions and impressions on the level of the services provided in the border.

He further stated that ICA has become one of the unique authorities in developing its services to better levels that make customers happy, exceed their expectations, and achieve their satisfaction. He invited all ICA’s employees working in the border to do their best to present a bright image of UAE, and reflect its authentic values and habits, including hospitality and nobility from, and also its accomplishments related to the progress in management, science, technology, and services. He further explained that everyone should maintain the security and stability of the UAE and prevent any attempt to violate its laws.

He further added that the responsibility for maintaining the State reputation, its bright image, and notable achievements shall be borne by all its residents, especially the frontlines employees in airports and border checkpoints. Thus, they shall double their efforts to provide all that is innovative and unprecedented and to go beyond excellence in performance, providing services for customers, innovate techniques that make visiting the UAE and passing across one of its borders an established experience that makes visitors believe that UAE is the home of happiness and excellence in everything.

Al Rashidi highlighted ICA’s keenness to create the ideal working environment for its employees, and its great attention to the field workers. It exerts every effort to overcome any difficulties or obstacles that may face them and to secure all that is necessary for them to perform their work to the fullest.

It is worth mentioning that the project of developing Al Ghuwaifat Toll Gate is implemented in an area of 350,000 m2. Its scope includes rehabilitating travelers’ rest areas, routes of cars and fast trucks, the service counters of police, customs, and those of the General Directorate for Foreigners Affairs and Ports, as well as the roads lighting networks, communication networks, information technology, water supply and sanitation networks, control and security systems parking areas, gardens and green spaces.

During the tour, Al Rashidi was accompanied by BG. Saeed Salem Balhas Al-Shamsi, Executive Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, BG. Mattar Kharbash Al Saadi, Director of ICA’s Information Technology Department, Colonel Abdullah Salem Al Nuaimi, Director of Strategy and Future Department at the General Directorate for Foreigners and Ports Affairs, and Colonel Ahmed Aldalal, Deputy Director if the Government Communication Department, and Saeed Hamad Al Rashidi, Director of the Land Ports Department.
