Adoption of” ID” Number for the Healthcare File in 16 Hospitals and 44 Centers

Ministry of Health and Prevention announced the completion of the electronic linking between ID card and (Wareed) system in 16 hospitals and 44 medical centers during the current year, besides the adoption of ID number as a unified number for the medical file.

Mubaraka Ibrahim, Director of Health Information Systems Department at the Ministry, said that the electronic linking between the ID card and (Wareed) system aims at unifying the patient’s personal data entered into the Warped system with the data entered in the ID card, as well as reducing the doubled healthcare files and reducing the time spent in the manual data entry.

Mubaraka Ibrahim confirmed, through news published in Al Khaleej newspaper in today’s issue, that unifying all the medical files available at the healthcare facilities affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Prevention were completed, and linking the new visitors and patients’ data are in processing so that the patients’ information can be updated during the patient’s first visit to the hospital or the medical center using his/her ID card, as well as the personal data and information stored on the card, can be adopted.
