The Nationality Department in Abu Dhabi celebrated the World Heritage Day, which is celebrated by the world on 18 April every year.
On this occasion, The Department organized different activities and events to introduce the most remarkable highlights of the Emirati heritage, and urge to maintain it, raise the awareness of its diversity, and the importance of its protection and maintenance to remain a legacy transmitted by the generations.
The events, which were organized by the Department, included presenting a heritage video and setting a tent that contained a set of the Emirati remarkable heritage symbols, decorating the Center’s corridors with heritage handicrafts, allocating an Arabic setting at one of the customers’ waiting areas and serving traditional meals.
The Director of the Department Col. Murshid Al Mazrouei participated in the ceremony with the employees and customers of the Department and talked to them about the original customs and traditions and the importance of promoting the heritage values in the new generations of citizens.
The celebration is organized in the framework of ICA’s keenness to contribute to activities that consolidate heritage culture and promote the awareness of genuine Emirati values and contribute to the preservation of the country’s traditional heritage.
