A delegation from the Emirates Identity and Citizenship Academy visited the Qasr Al Watan Library to exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices in the field of library management.
The delegation listened to an explanation from the library director, Jumaa Al Dhaheri, about the Library and its collections. They toured the Library’s facilities and reviewed its contents, which included printed books, e-books, audio and video books, and a wide range of knowledge resources in the UAE, which were collected over more than 35 years, periodicals, multimedia, undergraduate theses, research articles, encyclopedias, rare manuscripts, and many valuable documents.
It is noteworthy that Qasr Al Watan Library reflects the UAE Vision 2021, which is based on supporting the knowledge economy to promote and sustain development through investment in minds and human resources. The Library is a unique addition to the public libraries chain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which provides sources of knowledge with the latest technologies and techniques. The library is distinguished by its location in the middle of the palace with its unique architectural design.
