This service applies to the category: Residents.

The application must be submitted from outside the UAE.
The remaining residence validity must be more than 30 days at the time of application submission.
The customer may apply for the request after completing 180 days of staying outside the UAE.
If the service beneficiary is sponsored by an establishment, the application may be submitted either by the establishment or by the customer.
A valid reason must be provided to justify staying outside the UAE for more than 180 days.
Upon approval of the application, entry into the UAE must be completed within 30 days, including the approval date.
The service of issuing a permit for residents staying outside the UAE for more than six (6) months does not apply to residents of the Emirate of Dubai.
A fine of AED 100 is charged for every 30 days or less spent outside the UAE.
Exempted Categories: Golden, Green, and Blue Residence holders, and the husband of a UAE national woman (if sponsored by her), may enter the UAE anytime as long as the residence remains valid.
