Terms and Conditions
- A fine of AED 50 will be charged for each day of stay in the country after the visa has expired or been cancelled.
- Passport valid for no less than 6 months
- All residence issuance requirements must be maintained when applying for renewal.
- A 180‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for Golden, Green, and Blue Residence holders and their family members, widows or divorced women of residents, students after completing their studies, and foreign‑passport holders who are relatives of UAE citizens.
- A 90‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for skilled workers in levels 1–3 and property owners.
- A 60‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for residence permits issued with a guarantor or host.
- A 30‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for all other categories.

- Proof of kinship (attested marriage contract, children’s birth certificates).
- Birth certificates to verify children’s ages, or documents proving disability for children with special needs regardless of age.
- Employment certificate confirming family’s monthly income and housing.
- Valid health insurance.
- A copy of the personal identification card (Afghanistan / Iran / Iraq).

- Work certificate proving retirement and service period, or birth certificate.

- Bank certificate confirming fixed annual income, along with a bank statement for the last 6 months from the date of residence application.

- Bank certificate proving monthly income, or proof of financial solvency throughout the residence period.

- Attested marriage contract or marriage continuity certificate when sponsoring spouse.

- Employment contract or appointment decision if the sponsoring entity is from the federal or local public sector.
- Work permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation if the entity is subject to the Labor Relations Law or in the domestic workers category.
- Employment contract/appointment decision plus proof of a Wage Protection System if the entity is exempt from the Labor Law or from MoHRE work permit requirements.

- Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education or the competent educational authority in the emirate confirming approval.
- Certificate from the university, college, or educational/research institution confirming enrollment.

Service fines
- A fine of AED 50 per day is applied for remaining inside the UAE starting from the day following the end of the grace period of the residence permit, depending on its type - 50 AED
