Terms and Conditions

  • A fine of AED 50 will be charged for each day of stay in the country after the visa has expired or been cancelled.
  • The transit visa is issued through the airlines
  • A transit visa entitles the foreigner to stay for a period of (48) or (96) hours
  • The traveler is required to possess a valid passport or travel document that permits entry into the state, as well as into the country to which he intends to continue his journey.
  • Must hold a ticket for the continuation of his journey, except in the case of a foreigner who wishes to join a ship anchored in one of the state’s ports.
  • An emergency entry visa is granted to a foreigner arriving under the transit system, or who has been disembarked from the means of transport due to a medical emergency, flight cancellations caused by adverse weather conditions, or sudden aircraft malfunctions, for a period exceeding (24) hours.

  • In the event of flight cancellations due to sudden aircraft malfunctions or adverse weather conditions, and if the passenger is required to remain for more than (24) hours, an emergency visa may be granted, permitting the holder to stay in the country for up to (96) hours
  • In cases of medical emergencies, the permitted stay shall not exceed (7) days, and the visa must be converted to a medical treatment entry visa if a longer stay in the state is required.
  • A fine of AED 50 will be charged for each day of stay in the country after the visa has expired or been cancelled.
  • The foreigner must hold a residence permit in the state for a period of not less than one year.
  • The foreigner must be from the categories authorized to enter, or be a skilled worker of level one, two, or three in accordance with the approved labor regulations.
  • It is required for companions of GCC citizens to be accompanying a family member or the head of the family.
  • The entry visa is valid for (60) days from the date of issuance, and the customer must enter the state within this period to avoid cancellation of the visa, with the possibility of extension for an equivalent period.
  • The permitted stay period is (30) days for GCC residents, and (60) days for companions of GCC citizens.
  • Companions are: the wife, the children, domestic workers, and those in equivalent categories.
  • The entry visa for GCC residents may be extended once for an equivalent period, subject to the decision of the issuing authority.
  • The entry visa for companions of GCC citizens may be extended by the issuing authority once or multiple times, provided that the total duration of stay does not exceed (120) days.
  • A fine of AED 50 will be charged for each day of stay in the country after the visa has expired or been cancelled.
  • A seafarer’s card issued by the competent authority in the state, if serving on board national vessels operating on the high seas.
  • A work residence in the state and a seafarer’s card issued by the competent authority in the state, if employed on board foreign vessels under employment contracts in the state.
