Important Notes | The marriage contract is required in case of First-born of a wife who is not added in the family book, if the wife is a UAE citizen then it’s required to add her to the family book before adding the new born, if she is non-UAE citizen then adding her to the family book is optional.
If the child was born outside the country, the birth certificate shall be replaced to be issued by the competent official authorities in the country. |
If the marriage is outside the country, the contract must be duly certified, and the marriage continuity must be brought from within the country.
In the event that more than a year has passed since the date of the marriage contract within the country, a marriage continuity must be brought. In the event that the husband does not work, a state acknowledgment of non-working shall be brought from the court. |
The family book is updated electorally. | In the case of death outside the country, the death certificate issued from abroad shall be replaced by a death certificate issued by the official authorities in the country.
Nationality documents are handed over upon striking off the family book. |
The applicant must be unmarried or married and his children are minors.
The modification is for the first name only, and compound nouns are included in this meaning. That the name does not match the common names in the country. |
