Risk Management Policy

As part of its corporate governance strategy, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) is committed to establishing, documenting, implementing, and continually improving its Risk Management System in accordance with the international standard ISO 31000:2018.

The Risk Management Policy includes the following commitments:

Identify, assess, manage, monitor, review, and report risks, and address them effectively in accordance with the guidelines of ISO 31000:2018 and ICP's applicable management systems.
Apply the Risk Management System and its processes across all of ICP's management systems.
Integrate risk management into ICP's policies, objectives, management systems, business processes, and performance indicators.
Anticipate potential risks, assess their likelihood, impact, and level of severity, and implement appropriate treatment plans while ensuring the necessary resources are available.
Conduct periodic reviews of risks and risk acceptance levels, and make informed decisions to mitigate, eliminate, transfer, or accept risks, as appropriate.
Review the Risk Management Policy and the context of the Risk Management System to ensure alignment with the objectives and expectations of Senior Management.
Clearly define authorities, responsibilities, and accountability for risk management.
Provide the capabilities and resources required to implement the Risk Management Policy.
Foster a strong risk management culture across ICP and enhance employees awareness of its importance and their shared responsibility in managing risk.
Continually improve the Risk Management System.
